BIRDS AND BEES

Having some major lessons around our house.  All about birds, bees and bugs. 

(sorry to disappoint the name made it sound more exciting, huh, naughty!)

We have had multiple birds lay eggs in our tree and we have been keeping track of them all summer.  We watched them hatch and fly away.  We have learned life lessons like that the weakest ones don't always survive.  Also, mom and dad birds both protect and care for the young.

Our family bug collections has grown all summer.  Every time we spot a good one we catch it, kill it and pierce it.   Sounds brutal but we have found a lot and made quite the collection.  Sophia is a super-star, she catches dragonflies and spots bugs like crazy.  Gabe got us a good old rollie-pollie and.  It has been fun, with dad leading the way and everyone helping. The kids labeled and colored their own bugs to decorate the box.  Liam wants to see the bugs all the time too.  We have to show him from a distance or bye-bye bugs.
