Liam 10 months

10 Months

Teething on a Mango Seed.
Now this is what they used in the 'olden' days.
People ask me how I get my kids to eat fruits and veggies
here are some hints...

Well I came up with Eight
Ways to Get Kids to Eat the Veggies/Fruits on their Plate

1. Buy, Grow, Get fresh fruits and veggies in your house.
2. Start them when they are young with not
just mushy processed baby food, but the real fresh stuff.
3. Put it on the plate.  Even if they don't eat it all at least it is there
and they get used to the idea.
4. Make it look good.  Cut it up in slices, squares and
give it fun names like
Cucumber Moons, Orange Boats,
Broccoli Trees, Potato Wedges, Nana Circles,
5. Play games (yes with your food).
How many peas can you eat?
Who can make different shapes with the letuce leaf?
 Can we practice subtraction?
6. Grow your own food and let you kids help.
They love eating food the helped to grow.
7. Dip it in something.  Yogurt, Ranch, Peanut Butter are our favorites
8. EAT them yourself.  Not the kids, fruits and veggies.
Kids watch what is on your plate and
it's easier to tell them to eat it when you eat it too.
