Bear Lake Camping

BEAR LAKE CAMPING TRIP
Case decided he wanted to take the family on our 1st solo camping trip.  We usually go with either family or friends.  This time we ventured out on our own.  It was nice making our own plans.  We arrived at Porcupine Campground and set up our little camp.  The next morning we headed up to a Minnetonka cave.  We spelunked deep into the earth.  It was cool, claustrophobic and well cavy.   That afternoon we headed into town for a picnic lunch and ice cream. After that we drove out to the North Beach of Bear Lake.  It was beautiful, like a little beach.  Even had mini-waves from wind and boats.  The kids of course liked digging in the sand.  Good times.  After the lake Case and Liam napped.  Mom and the two oldest went on a nature walk and played Go Fish.  That evening we made tin-foil dinners, told stories and turned-in for the night.  Successful solo attempt at camping.
